Report: Unlocking the Power of Peers
Broad-access public colleges are one of our nation’s most important pathways into the middle class. But too often, limited budgets make it hard for these institutions to provide the personalized support every student needs to succeed.
Peer-to-peer programs are a promising way to affordably expand broad-access colleges’ ability to support every student, yet to date, most peer-based programs have been run at a small scale, in siloed pockets of universities.
This report highlights how colleges in three states are working to embed peer-to-peer guidance as a core part of student support systems. These programs show that peer-to-peer guidance can be both effective and affordable – at scale.
The report outlines five key practices that make this possible, spotlights the work of our partner campus, and includes a practical toolkit for colleges looking to launch or grow their own peer-to-peer programs.
